6 Months

This post is coming a month late. Our Berkley is 7 Months old already it's hard to imagine where the time goes. While my parents were visiting my mom and I took Berkley to her 6 Month Appointment which was scheduled 10 days late or so due to her "shot" schedule.

We all had the thought in our heads that Berkley is a bigger baby than what Cadence was but to our surprise Berkley is our smallest peanut yet! Although the difference is very minimal it just surprised us all, maybe it's because Cadence has always been so fine.

Berkley Cadence

Weight: 14lbs 13oz 15lbs 3.5oz

Height: 26in 26.5in

In her 6 Months Berkley is fully sitting up on her own for 5 minutes or longer and has gained speed in her crawling it goes something like this: reach with her left arm then pull with her left arm while pushing off with her right leg. She can hold her own bottle, a FULL bottle that is, FINALLY :0) The girl doesn't like baby food much so we are struggling with this, I am hoping at any time she begins to like it so I can cut back on the formula and save some moola! Her sleeping schedule is still choppy, waking up between 4:00-5:30am again, this can be frustrating but it's nice if she wakes up closer to 4 when Joe is walking in the door from work.

Cadence and Berkley are quite the tag team, always feeding off each other already. As my mom put it what one doesn't think about the other one will, this could be a very scary future. Berkley however is already holding her own ground by pulling Cadence's hair, it makes me giggle because Cadence is finally getting a taste of her own medicine.

Cadence loves to be a helper and many ways she is very good at it but she also loves to discourage Berkley from sitting up by pushing her down. Cadence also keeps Berkley from practicing crawling by dragging her around the house by her feet while Berkley is on her stomach (at least my kitchen/dining room floors are getting cleaned by this, KIDDING). AND she also loves undressing Berkley and attempting to take her diaper off before I catch her!

It's hard to believe that a little over a month from now Cadence will be celebrating her 2nd birthday. Here's to hoping the terrible twos will end on her birthday and I can have 6 months of peace, a girl can dream right? Cadence is a joy to have around but is very busy and LOVES testing us but what child doesn't I guess.
